Ceuta is an autonomous Spanish town, enclosed by the Rif on the North-West coast of Morocco, close to the Gibraltar Straits.

It is one of the two areas in this North African country, along with Melilla, also situated on the Mediterranean coast.

Together with Tangiers and Tetouan, it offers another gateway from Africa to Europe and has countless links with Spain by sea.
